Last weekend, the British Car Union held the 25th annual, British Car Festival. The festival is a massive gathering of British car enthusiasts from all around the Midwest. This is probably the hardest car show of the year for me because the show is massive, it's blazingly hot, and I really don't know classic British cars.

I do enjoy checking out the cars though. My dream garage is actually all British; I just can't afford a British car. Or maybe I should say I, I don't want to deal with the problems that would come with any British car I could afford. I can also say that these guys had some of the wittiest vanity plates (sorry you can't see them).

I prefer the modern cars, so I went straight to the Aston Martins when I got there. I was pleasantly surprised to see a beautiful, silver Aston Martin Vanquish S. I also saw a uniquely styled Aston Martin V8 with red spokes on the wheels.

Next up was Lotus cars. The cars in the Lotus section weren't very radical, but it was great to see a lot of Super 7s there. In the Mini section, I got to check out an original Mini Countryman. I still can't get over how much smaller the originals were though.

It is not hard for me to find an old British car I've never heard of, but the Nash Metropolitan especially stood out to me.
