Yesterday was July’s Supercar Saturday at The Glen in Glenview. This Saturday had beautiful weather, so there was a great turnout. You can see all of the pictures at my gallery. The first thing I noticed was that there were a lot of Vipers there. The Dodge Viper is relatively cheap considering its performance, but they’re still rarely seen on the street. My favorite was probably this blue SRT10 Coupe.

I have always loved Vipers with the classic stripes. I still have to admit that coolest Viper there was probably the ACR that the guys at Autowerks brought.

There were a lot of BMWs, or specifically, M3s at the show. I realized how great the design of the E46 M3 was that day. The design is so great that adding anything usually makes it look worse. I think this Laguna Seca M3 is close to perfection though.

I think the the title for best looking car goes to the red Ferrari F430 that showed up. It feels like cheating, but the dang F430 just looks so great from the factory. Don’t blame me; blame the guys at Pininfarina.

My choice of most unique car goes to the Alfa Romeo GT 1300 Junior. This car isn’t even as powerful as the other GTs or as rare as a Zagato, but it does stand out as a breath of fresh air in this group of modern marvels. These events are really about love of the car and this car appeared to be both loved and enjoyed.
