The DUB Show has evolved to become one of the more diverse car shows to happen in Chicago. DUB Magazine was known for feature cars with huge wheels, but this show represents more than that. There were still big American cars with lots of LCD screens, but there were also things like tastefully modded sports cars. \nYears ago, 20 inch wheels were considered huge. Today, many sports cars have 19 inch wheels from the factory. These big Chevys can still stand out by going even bigger. The black Impala I saw was a great example of that. The silver Impala goes in another direction by using small wheels and using a hydraulic system to drop the car super-low. Many people simplified their cars by shaving emblems and using color-matching, while others went as far as adding murals and door hinges that completely change how the doors open.<\/p>\n

This show usually has a few interesting luxury cars. There were not as many luxury cars as I expected, but there were a few nice ones. The Masarati GranTurismo was probably the best looking car out there when it was introduced, so I didn’t mind seeing one. The Fisker Karma was a bit of a surprise. The Karma was only made for a few years, so they are not a common sight. The Black Audi S4 might have been my favorite, but maybe I just like black cars.<\/p>\n

There were plenty of trucks and SUVs at the show. Hummers and Escalades used to be favorites among people that were into DUBs, but those are not as popular now. The Humboldt Park Jeeps club was in attendance, so I saw lots of modified Jeeps. Most of those Jeeps were Wranglers<\/p>\n

I prefer import sports cars, so it was nice to see things like 370Zs and RX-7s were also in attendance. The grey Nissan 370Z was one of my favorite imports at the show. The car is heavily modified, but it has an understated look.<\/p>\n
