For 2022, I really put in a lot of effort to go to car meets and shows. Things were so busy, I often had multiple events on the same day. I sometimes had to convince myself to go to events I knew were happening, but the unique experiences and a fresh batch of cars I would see at the other events made it worth the effort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sunday, August 14th, was one of those busy days. I went to the Oak Park Cars & Coffee<\/a> in the morning, and then went to the Illinois-Wisconsin border for a Supercar Sunday put on by Chitown Exotics<\/a>. The Lakefront Edition of Supercars for Charity was a truly unique experience because there was such a large group of cars I had not seen before, and it all happened at a location that was unique to me. Getting a picture of RWB Nohra next to the oversized North Point Marina chair made the the whole day worth it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was pooped, and had a large collection of cars, but there was one more event that day. Import Tuner was happening in Rockford that day. I knew it was a cool show, but getting there would take well over an hour and I just didn\u2019t feel motivated. The idea of driving through northern Illinois for one last car show was not appealing, but I knew I would regret it if I didn\u2019t go. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This drive through back roads in Illinois was actually more fun than I thought because there were so many twisty roads with high speed limits. After a little while, I spotted a cool little Audi A4 behind me. I\u2019ve always been a fan of the looks of the B7 A4, so I wanted to get some shots of the car. 
I got out at a stop light and told the owner of the A4 I liked his car. At that time, I also got a view of a Lancer Evolution that had joined us. This was a completely random encounter, but it resulted in some of my favorite pics from an already hectic day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was really happy that I convinced myself to make the last stop at Elite Tuner<\/a>. I didn\u2019t have light for long, but I saw some pretty cool car, and met up with some good friends. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
