{"id":1501,"date":"2022-12-24T12:09:00","date_gmt":"2022-12-24T18:09:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/benlevy.com\/blog\/?p=1501"},"modified":"2025-08-26T23:27:18","modified_gmt":"2025-08-27T04:27:18","slug":"alpha-garage-toy-drive-2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/benlevy.com\/blog\/alpha-garage-toy-drive-2022\/","title":{"rendered":"Super Car Toy Drive at Alpha Garage Chicago"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Rohana Wheels &amp; Alpha Garage Chicago hosted their first Toy Drive in support of Ronald McDonald\u2019s House Charities of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana on December 18th. Alpha Garage offers secure storage for high-end cars in Chicago and Rohana offers a range of aftermarket wheels for cars. The companies teamed up to put on events full of cars, toys, and even Santa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/img.benlevy.com\/auto\/2022\/alphagarage20221218\/alpha_toy_drive_9470.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption>Lime Green Ford GT at Christmas Toy Drive in Chicago<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s not often that you get to see supercars at this time of the year in Chicago, so this was a nice change. Only part of Alpha Garage was open for the event, but it was still a good time. Getting to see <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/img.benlevy.com\/auto\/2022\/alphagarage20221218\/alpha_toy_drive_9439.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption>Red Lamborghini Huracan STO from Rohana Wheels<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Rohana Wheels brought out an impressive set of cars and an incredible amount of toy donations. The red Lamborghini Huracan was quite an eye-catcher. All of the wings, vents, and scoops make the STO look a little over the top, but you have to appreciate that the car really has performance to back it all up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/img.benlevy.com\/auto\/2022\/alphagarage20221218\/alpha_toy_drive_9424.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption>Blue Porsche 718 Spyder at Alpha Garage Chicago<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In the end, I&#8217;m just happy about all the toys that were collected. This was also a nice time to meet up other enthusiasts. We were all hoping for a few special cars from Mouse Motors and McLaren Chicago, but things didn&#8217;t really work out. It was still great to meet up with many of the local photographers and catch up. A lot of people were talking about new gear and projects for next year.
