I’ve been reviewing a lot of old pictures lately, but this 911 RS America from Checkeditout 2021 popped up and I had to stop and appreciate it. Narrow body 964s were not appreciated for a long time, but they now have a place in the hearts of 911 fans. The increase in price, and weight, was unpopular at the time. I think the fact that the 964 has improvements over there old 930s, while also retaining many elements means that they hit a sweet spot with many enthusiasts.

I’ve heard that this car had an interesting history. I think this one was owned by someone who worked at Porsche of North America. This car was a spec that was not actually offered in America. Everything about it still looks so subtle compared to the current GT cars from Porsche.

This 996 GT3 immediately stood out because of the Volk Racing TE37 wheels. It was still uncommon to see Porsches on Japanese wheels back then. The 996 GT3 was originally a homologation special, so it looks so fitting in white. It looks like a car that is ready to get some numbers and numbers and head to the track. It’s rare to see them used in that way. 996s were not considered desirable for a while, but low production numbers and the Mezger engine make these highly sought after.

Kelly-Moss had this white 1983 Porsche 930 Turbo parked on the sidewalk. This 911, nicknamed “Doc,” was the most powerful of the group thanks to the K27 turbo upgrade. The car looks exaggerated in many ways because of things like the wide rear track, front spoiler, and whale spoiler. The interior was one of the most impressive parts though. You could really tell this car was rebuilt meticulously.

This 911 with yellow headlights was one of my favorites of the show. It feels like it embodies all of the beauty of the classic 911s. This was my idea of an achievable sports car. Unpretentious, but dignified. Practical, but focused on the driving experience.

I had to throw in a picture of a Targa too. The striped vinyl on the doors adds the playful nature of this car.

I’m a big fan of BBS wheels and this 964 looked perfect on this set of BBS LMs. It looks like the perfect road trip car.
