Today the Midwest was hit hard with a major snowstorm. While schoolchildren enjoyed a day off and endless building materials for snow forts, I had to deal with a nearly two hour commute to work. I only made it up to fourth gear during the trip to work and those moments were brief. I was still very cautious since I was in the same basic situation when I got into my first accident (same roads, conditions, and time of day). The video below shows what happens when you’re not careful.
My Altima is doing better now since my last post. The Altima hasn’t been driven much though because I’ve chosen to go with the GTI and its ABS, anti skid system, and it’s all-season radials during the snowfall. I still had trouble when I got to work because most of our parking lot hadn’t been plowed. When I left for the day I realized that “Mr. Plow” had his own problems to deal with.
The winter months are boring to me, but at least the Chicago Auto Show is around the corner. I just wish I had enough for a DSLR camera.
