I had another busy weekend last weekend. My adventures ended up adding over 500 miles the odometer on my trusty Altima. I planned to make a trip to Springfield and go to Fred’s graduation and was surprised to find out they were the same weekend. I watched Fred walk across the stage in Champaign and then drove to Springfield to meet most of the Flosty crew. We spent most of the night on the top floor of Springfield’s downtown Hilton. The 30 story Hilton hotel in Springfield isn’t that large by Big City standards, but it towers over the other buildings it surrounds.

Being at the top of the Hilton allows you to see all of Springfield at once. You get to see the Illinois State Capital from above, but the Old State Capital is dwarfed by the surrounding buildings.

I had a tremendous amount of fun that weekend even though I feel like I only got a day with everyone and still haven’t been to the Lincoln Museum.
