I’ve decided that I must go to SEMA, CES, and E3 (and maybe even that Candy Expo too). Those are the biggest conventions for the auto, electronics, and video game industries, respectively. They are also very, very hard to get into because entrance is restricted to only bigwigs within those industries. The rest of us are supposed to watch from behind the fence.

The Consumer Electronics Show is going on right now and it looks like us tech junkies are having a late Christmas. I thought one of the neatest products at the show was the ATC-1000 Action Camera from Oregon Scientific. Wireless, small, and can record onto Secure Digital cards. But then I noticed a big problem. It records at 15 frames per second. Everyone knows that standard is 30fps and that for the action shots that that camera is meant for it needs to be at 60fps (which my SD400 can do). Maybe they’ll get it right next year.

I also happen to know a little more Chappelle news. Next Sunday Comedy Central is finally going to Dave Chappelle’s old performance at San Francisco. It’s a great set that touches on sketch artists, fighting with your girlfriend, psychedelic mushrooms, and even Black Santa. I’ve never even seen it, but it’s one of the funniest half hours I’ve ever heard.
