Burdi Clothing closed down the block of Hinsdale Avenue for their annual toy drive on December 7, 2024. Toys were collected for the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, but the real draw was a collection of rare an exotic cars being out for a rare December car meet in Illinois.
This has been one of my favorite events in recent years, but the cold weather and my busy schedule makes it hard to cover. In 2024, I could only stay briefly. I arrived before most of the cars, but I still got to take in a pair of Porsche GT3 RSs with orange wheels. Those cars are legends of the track, but the subtle Porsche 911 S/T was the king because of it's rarity.
